Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion 2026: Beat the Laguna Seca Parking Crunch

The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion returns August 12–15, 2026, at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Salinas — four days of the world's most historically significant race cars competing on one of the most dramatic circuits in North America. The 2026 edition carries the theme "Salute to Japanese Motorsports: A Tradition of Precision & Heritage", honoring decades of Japanese racing achievement from Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, and more.

This is historic racing at its finest. The cars on track are irreplaceable. Getting there and back should be the least complicated part of your day.

Why Laguna Seca's Parking Situation Deserves a Plan

WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca sits on Monterey Salinas Highway between Monterey and Salinas — a location that works well on ordinary days and creates a concentrated traffic pinch on event days. Here's the reality:

Getting in is fine. Preferred parking is available for purchase (4-day passes for the full Reunion), and lots are large enough to absorb the crowd on arrival. Traffic flows reasonably well before sessions start.

Getting out after a full day is a different story. When the final session ends and 10,000+ people move toward the same exit gates and funnel back onto Monterey Salinas Highway, the combination of single-direction traffic and limited highway capacity means a long wait. If you've got dinner plans in Monterey or Carmel afterward, add 45–60 minutes to your estimate.

Multi-day attendance — common for serious race fans attending all four days — means repeating that parking math every time. A chauffeured vehicle, especially for a group, makes more sense than paying for four days of preferred parking plus the driving.

What the Rolex Reunion Actually Looks Like

The Motorsports Reunion is not a modern race — it's a historic event where cars are judged for period correctness and authenticity, then sent onto the track to race competitively. The field each year includes:

  • Pre-war sports and racing cars
  • 1950s–70s Formula and sports racers
  • Trans-Am, Can-Am, and endurance racing cars
  • Japanese touring and formula cars (especially significant for the 2026 "Salute to Japanese Motorsports" theme)
  • Motorcycles, prototypes, and production-based GT classes

The Corkscrew — Laguna Seca's famous blind-apex downhill hairpin — is one of the most photographed corners in motorsport. If you're shooting cars, this is your spot.

Combining Laguna Seca With the Rest of Car Week

The Reunion runs August 12–15, placing it right in the middle of Car Week. Most enthusiasts attending Laguna Seca are also at other events across the week. Here's how a full Car Week booking with Limoscene looks:

DateEvent
Aug 8–9Monterey Pre-Reunion & Corkscrew Hillclimb (Laguna Seca preview days)
Aug 12–15Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion
Aug 13–14Broad Arrow Auctions, Pebble Beach Tour d'Elegance
Aug 14The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering — Carmel Valley
Aug 16Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance

A day that starts at Laguna Seca for morning sessions, breaks for lunch in Carmel, then heads to an auction or dinner in Monterey — that's a day that works beautifully with a dedicated driver and falls apart quickly if you're self-navigating between three parking lots.

What We Bring to Laguna Seca

Our Mercedes Sprinter van is the vehicle of choice for Laguna Seca groups. It's comfortable for a full day at the track, handles the open highway between Monterey and Salinas without any issues, and gives your group a comfortable base to regroup between sessions. For Car Week groups who want to be at the track early and leave on their own schedule — not when the parking lot empties — it's the right call.

We also run airport transfers from Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) for guests flying in. If you're arriving the day before the Reunion starts and heading straight to your hotel, we can meet you at baggage claim and handle everything from there.

Build Your Car Week Itinerary

You know which events you're attending. Send us the list and we'll handle the rest — routing, timing, pickup and drop-off logistics across however many days you're here. Whether it's one day at Laguna Seca or all four days plus The Quail plus the Concours, we book it as a single package and you deal with one driver, one vehicle, and one point of contact.

Request a Car Week quote with your event list, hotel, group size, and dates — or call (831) 902-0859 for a quick conversation. We're TCP-licensed, fully insured, and operate year-round across the Monterey Peninsula, South Bay, and Central Coast.
